ATP ATELIER DINNER X THE LINE
An intimate gathering with Swedish accessories brand ATP Atelier featuring influencers, content creators, and familiar faces alike. Founders Jonas Classon and Maj-La Pizzelli of ATP (All Tomorrow’s Parties) flew across the pond for this curated dinner with bites by Friends of Farmers, celebrating the launch of their latest bags and shoes.
MERLETTE RESIDENCY x THE LINE
Designed in New York using the most luxurious cotton, Merlette is the perfect brand for the feminine, contemporary fashionista that wants a piece to effortlessly transition from day to night, beach to city. The ethos and execution of Merlette’s resort-wear aligned perfectly for a pop-up at The Line. This two-week Los Angeles exclusive was hosted by the designer herself, Marina Cortbawi, along with brand consultant Ash Saunders. Over 20 units sold within the first week, and gave the designer an opportunity to interface offline with her California clientele.
ADAM LIPPES X PUTNAM & PUTNAM
The Sunday soiree that dreams are made of. Hosted by Rashida Jones and Sara Riff, a private unveiling of Adam Lippes’ latest collection, featuring a floral print designed by the infamous, NY based floral duo, Putnam & Putnam. Florals were dispersed throughout the venue that mimicked the inspiring prints on the garments. Influencers and celebrities came sporting their favorite Adam Lippes styles for a fireside chat with Lippes and the Putnam’s, discussing color theory and how it inspired the collection.
MARYSIA | RESIDENCY AT THE LINE
An event to cure summertime sadness - effortless swim and resort wear designer Marysia Reeves cohosts an event to launch her month-long residency at The Line alongside stylist Jessica de Ruiter. Delicious cocktails provided by Pharmacie LA for clients to sip on while they peruse her exclusive styles.
GOLDSIGN POP-UP
An event to redefine your expectations of what it means to wear quality denim - GOLDSIGN under the creative direction of Karen Phelps incorporates contemporary, modern design, with thoughtful detailing and 90’s minimalism. Light bites and refreshments kicked off this private shop-in-shop, while Phelps herself styled The Line’s top clients.
CEREMONY
A celebration to launch a company that celebrates love of all kinds. Co-founded by Jess Hannah of J. Hannah Fine Jewelry, Ceremony is a collection of ethically-sourced rings for marking new traditions - gender-neutral engagement or simply tokens of affection. Hosted at The Line, with catering by Heirloom LA and floral arrangements by Isa Isa Floral, the week-long pop-up began with an event to remember.
BEATRIX OST x WOMEN WITH SUPER POWERS
Multidisciplinary artist and style maven, Beatrix Ost led a private book reading followed by a book signing about her latest book The Philosopher's Style. Nitsa Citrine & Tasya van Ree from Women With Superpowers and Jill Nelson from Haven Design co-hosted the event, which attracted an eclectic circle of guests from the art, fashion and design communities.
PHILLIPS AUCTION HOUSE
The Phillips Auction House event engaged the art and design community in context of The Line’s offline home. This four-day public exhibition of works from the Spring 2018 auction previewed impressive selections from Jean-Michel Basquiat, Cy Twombly, Joan Mitchel, and Andy Warhol, in addition to a rare assortment of collectable watches. The partnership between Phillips and The Line featured a 360 marketing approach, inviting select clients from both art and fashion communities, who joined in a launch celebration and private preview.
DECASO
Combining Vanessa Traina’s refined and elegant taste with DECASO’s vast assortment of antique furniture, decor, and decorative art objects, The Line X DECASO provided an impressive swoon-worthy curation to top clients, and interior designers alike. Guests mingled as they took turns gawking over vintage furniture from designers such as Walter Lamb, Pierre Jeanneret, Nakashima, and Cartier. In tandem with the event, was a 360 campaign, inclusive of a kick-off event, social media sync and homepage features from both brands featuring Vanessa Traina’s curated collection.
HANNAH HOFFMAN GALLERY
In the spirit of art's capacity to provide inspiration and connection, this intimate dinner brought together emboldened, creative women from across the city. A selection of works from female artists represented by Hannah Hoffman Gallery decorated the walls that surrounded a gathering old friends and new acquaintances. Partnered with Emily's List, a non-profit that encourages change by getting pro-choice Democratic women elected, this dinner provoked important conversation about the intersection of politics and art.
AN EVENING WITH BEBOE
Known as the “Hermes of Marijuana,” Beboe breaks the boundaries of a once taboo industry and connects it to a luxury clientele. Building brand affinity is as important on a micro scale, as it is to sell it at a macro level. A tupperware party reimagined, An Evening with Beboe cultivated an intimate gathering of women. Ladies from entertainment execs to the new era of soccer moms, in a comfortable home setting, allowing guests to familiarize themselves with the products and experience it in an elevated capacity.
WERNER BOKELBERG ART RECEPTION
As the art and design communities in Los Angeles have continued to thrive and expand, so does the need to create a new experience to preview works of art. This was the setting for the exhibition preview with Werner Bokelberg, a German photographer known for his commercial work in fashion and for photographing famous icons of the 1960’s. The show was expertly curated by Sylvia Chivaratanond and included a series of works from a week spent with Dali at his compound in Caracas. Guests sipped custom cocktails from Casa Dragones and left with gift bags of Beboe’s Inspired pen and Pastilles.
WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND
Founded in 1993, What Goes Around Comes Around (WGACA) has established themselves as the leading source for elevated vintage, paying homage to the fine art of fashion through history. In partnering with Vanessa Traina, this edited collection brought to life the refined vision of The Line through the unique perspective of vintage, archived designs. Co-founder Gerard Maione and Vanessa Traina cohosted a private shop-in-shop event for their collective clients to have first shop of the curation. A 360 campaign launched following the event, with social media sync, mirroring the collection on both The Line’s and WGACA’s homepage.
MARGAUX
Margaux shoes by Alexa Buckley and Sarah Pierson make thoughtfully designed, versatile, and most importantly, comfortable shoes that meet the demands of modern life. With a history of being direct-to-consumer, this two-week pop-up introduced the brand to a retail setting to engage a new audience and meet their clients.
